| Kate Fahey takes top honors in Northampton Idol contest Posted: 26 Jul 2010 10:16 PM PDT The 2nd "Northampton Idol" contest, part of the 2010 Sights & Sounds of Summer Series, was held on Thursday, July 22 with 10 year old Kate Fahey taking top honors for her singing talent. The event was held at the Northampton Township Park on Hatboro Road. Twelve contestants selected and sang their favorite songs to a packed audience, showing their talent, poise and courage. Contest judges included: Paige Whitebread-Sesame Place Entertainment Supervisor, Vince Deon- Chairman-Northampton Twp. Board of Supervisors, and Lynne Kelleher-Chairperson-Northampton Township Business Association. Additionally , the audience was able to vote for their favorite, with Kate Fahey again taking top honors. Jennine Babo and Anthony Babo served as coordinators and Master of Ceremonies. The Northampton Township Parks and Recreation Department thanks all the talented contestants "who truly made it an evening to remember."
